Guidelines for event submission

Be sure to follow all the guidelines below to avoid delays in getting your event posted to the website and The Scuttlebutt.

Please send vetted and corrected flyers and emails ONLY. We can't keep up with multiple emails for the same events, so double-check your work before sending.

Club-sanctioned events (dinners, parties, cruises) are to be submitted to this email list:

webmaster@slbyc.com

thescuttlebutt@slbyc.com

bethayates@aol.com

Event Email Guidelines

Your email should include the following:

- The Event Flyer (usually a pdf, but any photo format acceptable: jpg, png, gif)

- The Event text. PDF files (generally) are images, not text files. Neither Webmaster not Scuttlebutt will retype what's already been typed into the flyer. We have to retype the event, which takes too much time. You have already typed the text somewhere!

Acceptable text:

  • (Easiest) Copy the text as you create the file and paste into the email you will be sending.

  • The source document, such as a Word file (docx), a Power Point file (pptx) or whatever you used in the first place to create the pdf.

  • Contact webmaster@slbyc.com if you need help with this.

- All pricing information, dates, times, any cutoff dates, etc.
